Martha began photographing at Silver Dollar City in 1971 and since then she has been active as a professional photographer specializing in children, seniors, families and weddings. In 1987, Martha passed her certification examination and was given the designation of Certified Professional Photographer. In 1995, she attained the Master of Photography Degree given by the Professional Photographers of America (PPA) for excellence in photography, and in 2001, Martha received the Photographic Craftsman Degree from PPA for her participation in educating new photographers.
Martha has been a member of the Board of Directors of the Missouri Professional Photographers, Inc., since 1993 and she is the current past president of that organization. Martha has been elected to serve as a Councilor from MOPPA, Inc., to the National PPA, and the American Society of Photographers has asked her to be the Missouri representative.
On numerous occasions, Martha has been awarded the prestigious Fuji Masterpiece and the Kodak Gallery awards for her photography; achieved the level of Top Ten Photographers in Missouri several times, and has had photographs published in the Professional Photographer magazine and Loan Collection books.
Martha is a member of Professional Photographers of America, Professional Photographers of Missouri, Professional Photographers of the Ozarks, Senior Portrait Artists (SPA) and Wedding and Portrait Photographers International (WPPI).
