I have often wondered when creating a birth announcement or grad announcement in Photoshop if I was spelling everything correctly. As a double check, I would have the clients proof the design, a friend look at it, and I would look at it one last time to make there were not any spelling errors. Luckily, everything has always been spelled correctly.
I would also wonder why Adobe never had a spell check in Photoshop.
Much to my surprise and excitement, Photoshop DOES have spell check! (I know I know. But really it is the little things in life! )
Here is a short and sweet tutorial on how to find and use Spell Check in Photoshop.
1). Go to the tool bar and click Edit. Scroll down to Check Spelling. Click on Check Spelling.
2). A Check Spelling Dialog box opens up. In this dialog box is the current word and suggestions. Choose the word you want to use and click Change. Now, if you think you have misspelled this word through out your design, click Change All and all the variations of that word will be corrected. Once that word has been changed, the next misspelled or questionable word is selected.
3). Continue checking the spelling. When spell check has completed it’s task, a dialog box like this opens. Click OK. Spell check is complete!
Spell Check is done. No more typos. No more reprints! Whew!
