Recently some of our favorite photographers, Dawn Shields, Amanda Reed and Gene Ho, garnered some awards and recognition. We wanted to recognize them for their industry efforts.
This February at WPPI 2011 in Las Vegas, Dawn took 1st place in the Fusion Album category. This is a brand new genre mixing camera work with music, animation, graphics and video. Dawn’s album about gospel ingenue, Rhema Marvanne, was so moving that the awards audience gave Dawn a standing ovation. You can experience the album here!
At this year’s Senior + Youth National Conference (SYNC) held January 28-Feb 1 in St. Petersburg, FL, Amanda Reed earned an Award of Excellence. It was Amanda’s first time at SYNC, the nation’s premiere educational summit for pro photographers specializing in seniors, youth and children.
Last but certainly not least, Gene Ho was voted Best Photographer and Best Photo Studio by the Myrtle Beach Herald as well as Best Photographer by the Horry Independent. We’re excited to see his reputation as an artist and businessman grow.
